By now you've heard a lot about 545 Rideau...but not a lot about the people behind it. That's us, Chenier Group! Our open house for 545 Rideau is fast approaching, and we thought it was time to put a face to the name. Established over 30 years ago Chenier Group has an extensive background in both commercial and residential real estate with projects ranging from small scale residential to large institutional facilities.

Hi everyone, I'm Nicolas and I'll be your host for the upcoming virtual open house! I have been involved in different facets of Chenier Group since 2011, including operations, project management, and leasing. My goal is to help you find the apartment that you would be proud to call home

Chenier Group has been a trusted real estate builder and landlord for over 30 years. We focus on innovative, green practices that meet the highest industry standards. We believe in collaboration to ensure our properties have a positive impact on local communities.

When starting this project, it was very important to us that we work with the community. Lowertown is one of Ottawa's oldest neighbourhoods and is populated with buildings dating back to the 1800s. One such building used to sit on the site 545 Rideau now occupies. 

Even though the building didn't have a heritage designation, we hated the thought of losing such beautiful historical architecture. So, we dismantled the dilapidated structure brick by brick, using the materials to construct a duplex that will replicate the French Second Empire architectural style of the original building. The new duplex will be available for rent, sitting next to the new nine-storey apartment building. This is your chance to live in a revitalized piece of history!
